© Moirai / Hanna Marti & Mara Winter - The Lays of Marie de France - The young ensemble Moirai gives expression to two Anglo-Norman lays – short, narrative poems – as recorded by the courtier Marie de France. The twelfth-century poet heard these epic tales performed by Breton minstrels and translated them into the language of the court, so that they would be 'remembered forever'. Ensemble Moirai proves that these lays can still excite us.
